6 bulb t5
Hey Everybody,
im very new to planted tanks so i need some advice for my build. I came over from the reef side and have a 66"x22"x18" tank with a 48" 6 bulb T5 pendant (ATI Powermodule). i was wondering if that would be too much light for an Iwagumi setup? would i better off swapping it for a 60" 4 bulb sunpower? Thanks |

Are these standard T5 or T5HO bulbs?
Take a look at this informative post by Hoppy: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=105774

Would you have to use all the bulbs? Like for my fixture I have 4 bulbs and I have 2 switches so that I can turn off 2 bulbs if I wanted.

Darkblade48 - They are T5HO and its considered one of the most powerful/Brightest T5 fixtures
GMYukonon24s - yes it has 2 switches one for 2 and the other for the other 4 but if i only use 4 then i would rather just downgrade |

Take a look at the link I posted above. You can get away with 2 bulbs...in fact, even with 2 bulbs, it will be a bit much.
