How to connect a Fabco needle valve to a Milwaukee regulator

I'm looking to get a more consistent flow through my Milwaukee M957 regulator. I bought a Fabco NV-55-18 needle valve, thinking that might help. What I don't understand is how to connect it. I don't know what goes into the port on the top of the needle valve.

Any advice? Thanks.

You should be able to just remove the old needle valve and then use two 1/8 hex nipples to make up the difference in connecting it to the solenoid and bubble counter.

Although... After thinking about it for a minute, you may want to consider not re-installing the bubble counter as I do not recall if the one on the Milwaukee has a check valve in it. I think one of the main reasons people have a hard time with needle valve on the Milwaukee is because water from the bubble counter is constantly having direct contact needle valve. The end of the needle valve is where the bubble actually forms in the counter, right? That means that when/if you just use an 1/8 hex nipple, the bubble will be coming directly from the fabco. I'd probably hit someone up for the jbj style counter witch at least has a check valve in it.

Honestly though, you'd 'probably' be fine either way.

1/8 npt hex nipple, for JBJ type system mounted bubble counter.
or
1/8 npt to 1/4 OD(1/8 ID) hose barb to connect to air hose.

Let me get this straight: I need one 1/8 npt hex nipple to connect the needle to the regulator and I need one 1/8 npt hex nipple to install the bubble counter? Thanks.

Thank you. I'll head over to Home Depot and see if they have what I need.
