To me, it just looks like a forest of plants that have never been trimmed. I would hack some of it back and replant. Get it under some control there :P

I try not to bother them or put my hands in it. I have a 55 gal that is growing like crazy and I take some of the high end stuff and distribute it throughout my other tanks. I think I will just rescaped it.

A good trimming would give the tank some shape

Not gonna lie , it needs a good trim, but thats all i would do. They dont like changes especially the more fragile grade. Tank should look nice after a little love.

if you have prl then i would just trim. a rescape will cause a huge ammonia spike and easily kill the shrimp

I'd get rid of some plants but that's just me. I like to see the shrimp more than I like plants. It's much better to observe them if anything is going wrong as well.

I say trim too, then you will be able to see them more.
