Is this OK for CRS shrimp

I would like to keep crs shrimp in my heavily planted 12 gallon long tank. I don't wan't that they just survive. I want them to thrive.

My substrate is amazonia 2. I run CO2 @ 1 1/2 BPS. I have high lighting and dose EI including CSM+B at lower levels than recommended. Here are my water parameters
KH 4
GH 7
PH 6.8
TSD 150

Will this work?

Any recommendations that would help improve water conditions would be greatly appreciated.

you probably want much lower KH values near 0dKH. basically using remineralized RO water.
Also CO2 injection is probably not too good. everything else is good for them. Aside from maybe tank size. you're going to find that they will be happier in tanks about 20gals or even more because of more stable water parameters.
still possible to breed them in 12 gals. larger would be better.

Yeah, CO2 and CRS can be done, but I wouldn't try it if I were a beginner. Maybe you could keep the CRS in a lower light tank, and then once you get the hang of keeping them you can transfer them to your high light tank.

So, if I mix my water with RO water during water changes and test it until I get the KH to 0-2 and GH between 4-6 and maybe crank CO2 down to 1 BPS this will create an optimal enviornment for them? Does that sound about right? Thanks

Low tech is optimal. Any high tech setup (co2, ferts) is not recomended for shrimp, although can/has been done. You should honestly be fine. They might not breed but i dont think they would die. I say start off with low grade and see what happens.
