Anyone interested in a 75g MetaFrame w/original Slate??
I finally emptied my 75g Metaframe, original tar needs to be redone and metal center bar is MIA but it doesn't seem to matter. Original slate bottom is in great condition.
I'm hoping to find someone who want to buy it, gotta be picked up. If no one wants to buy it, does anyone know a member that has re-tarred these tanks successfully?? I would rather keep it, but I can't bring it into the main house w/o having it properly sealed...

Can't black silicone be used to seal? Granted, it's not "authentic", but I don't see why it wouldn't work if you can get the original surfaces clean enough for it to bond. I know I've seen aquarium-grade silicone for sale in black (on-line, but I can't remember where...).

It won't stick to the slate, thus I need to have it tarred.
I don't want to cut a section of glass and layer it over the slate... =(

Looks like I have to sell it. Vet bill came in and they add $10 every month I don't pay it off. Need to find $500 before they rob me.
