OOOOHHHHHH MAN
this is incredibly helpful, can we sticky this or something? Not sure if this is allowed, but a little review of each would be nice if allowed. I want to ask though, can we make note of which stores will or will not buy fish/plants from customers? I know for a fact that Pets Warehouse will not give you anything, even store credit, for fish or plants that you give to them.

Paradise Aquarium
66-16 Fresh Pond Road Ridgewood, NY 11385 718.366.6921 They carry tropical and saltwater fish. Have some HUGE exotic species. The saltwater section is amazing. The owner is willing to work with trades & work on prices. Can also workout deals for him to get specific fish/plants for you. I regularly sell fish and/or plants to this store. They also have reptiles, birds, rodents (hamsters 'n' such).

Went to New 1951-1963 Utica Ave.(btwn K-L) 718-241-6688 www.newislandaquarium.com
New store set up original owner sold about a year ago. They have salt and fresh water fish. If there is a large group the manager Chris is willing to work with us price wise. He will also order for a group. If someone gives him a call a few weeks ahead of a group visit he'll order what he can, including substrates, ferts etc. Nice place, the other side is a tank build area. |

Nice plant's, 2 tanks full, bought a nice amazon sword and a bunch of Limnophila aromatica, hope no one eats it this time around. Salt and freshwater fish. It's not a huge place but he had some nice pleco's,rasbora's, didn't have any dwarf cory's which is what I was looking for. Possibley worth a trip at least for the plants. |

I'm planning a road trip to Queens on the 23rd - I might be able to hit one store. Any suggestions as to which? I see Fishtown USA has the most smileys, but it's also the most out of the way.

Fishtown USA is worth a trip. We drove in from Brooklyn and that was a pain but I was glad we did.

Neat. Let's hope they don't mind being gate crashed by 15 lbs of confused rabbits.
