Fugeray 30" good for freshwater?

I'm new to planted tanks and looking for a light for my 56 gallon (30x18x24) freshwater. Would the Fugeray be a good light or am I better off with the Ray II even though it doesn't come in 30". I see the fugeray has actinics which I understand aren't good for freshwater. I'm not sure exactly what plants I'll have so I'd like to have the option of med-high. Any suggestions?

Yes it is! Check the pictures in my signature, the 36 gallon bowfront. That is a 30" Fugeray about 20" off the substrate. At 24" that you have the light might be getting a little too low (17 par) except for low light plants. The tall stuff will grow fine, the little stuff close to the 'dirt' will be very slow.

The are coming out with a 30" Ray2 (DD, 7K daylight in 2 rows) , any time now I think (Lowe will answer on here soon, he is the factory rep) You might need to inject Co2 to avoid algae with that, or hang/shade it.

PS: No Actinics in a Fugeray, 7k whites and a few blue moonlights.

So it sounds like the fugeray might be better for me than the Ray2?
