Shrimp & Cory fry

Twice I put eggs from my cories in my shrimp tank. Both times I watched the eggs for 2 days then the 3rd day the eggs were gone but don't see no babies. Can the shrimp eat the fry?

It's more likely that the eggs didn't make it, for whatever reason, and your shrimp then devoured the failed eggs.

Been told the same thing - shrimp will only eat 'dead' eggs. They will clean viable eggs but not harm them.

I put cherry shrimp in with my Cory eggs every time. They never eat viable eggs. I have seen them with the fry and they don't touch them

Can vouch for Cherries not touching viable eggs, threw in a bunch of Flame Tetra eggs just two days ago and they picked at them at first, but left all of them sitting in the dish.

Also have some tiny tiny fry that the shrimp don't bother with either.

Love these little buggers

By shrimp, I hope you are not talking about Ghost Shrimp. Ghost Shrimp can be very opportunistic when it comes to an easy meal. Now Rcs are angles

^ Ghost Shrimp will eat live fish if they can catch it, eggs are an easy treat.
