Found another type of algae

One of my tanks has developed a different type of algae that I haven't encountered before.

It's tough like GSA's BLACK.

Not BBA. No fuzzyness to it at all.

Hard to scrape off like GSA.

Only on the glass. Not on any other surfaces.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Yep, dosing phosphate seems to take care of it.

I've had something like that on my rocks in the old 20L setup...never had it sense. Not sure what caused it honestly. Maybe just a mix of all the right conditions.

Edit: The only thing I've been able to get it off with is H2O2 or Excel and a toothbrush. You can spot dose it in the tank and it'll melt off eventually, but I used to just do it at water change times because I didn't want that crap hanging around in my tank.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
