Good question that I don't know the answer to. I was assuming it was zero since it went straight to yellow. On the other hand when it took the second drop to turn it yellow I take that to mean it is a 2. Not sure how you know 0 vs 1.

Drops are really an estimation, so it'd be safe to say your KH is 0-1 rather than 0 or 1.

Thanks, that makes sence. I've been reading about keeping crs and have slowly created a tank. When one is looking to create the optimum environment for crs. What perameters are best?

The best parameters are really just trying to get close to the parameters of your breeder if at all possible.

I keep my CRS - depending upon the tank - at either 5.8 pH or 6.4 pH, 0-1 KH, 5 GH, 150-160 TDS, 70-72 degrees F. Lots of different things work for different people.

Great, I just tested my water and it's really close to those readings, except for TDS. I still need to find out how to test that.

I just use a basic Hanna model I found on eBay. It has been working just great for my needs. I make sure my TDS stays in range of what I want, but it's still more of a ballpark parameter.
