If you only had time to goto one shop int he area, i'd visit Royal Aqua as the other two don't seem to differentiate themselves from all of the common LFS in the NYC area. Near Reef Aquarium (on the same side of the street) there were a few interesting flower shops. Large pots of Pothos sold for $3 ea.

Yes, these are the same ones I mentioned in the past where one of the stores had a huge selection of nano tanks and the prices were really cheap.

Other than that, it's not worth it...livestock is not much, they actually do mostly saltwater

Ed, can you link me to that post with the pictures of the tanks, I cant find it. I'm debating getting one of those or a Spec or Evolve 2G on blackfriday. Thanks

This thread serves to list new stock as they are seen and its probably better we curb out "general purposing" of all threads as we tend to do. teeheehee

If anyone wants Amanos, I saw Pacific acclimating about 20 today. No DoAs but they were skittering above the water level. I assume the price is still $6/1 or $12/3.

I considered the red platies but decided to wait for another time. Fishtown u.s.a. Don't normally let you chose your fish so it's one of the drawbacks to getting livestock from them.

Their customer service also needs to improve a bit as their staff generally knows very little about their care and water parameters ime. Hmm then again, to be fair, most lfs know little of the necessary care requirements and compatibility.

Must depend on the guy serving you, because I remember last time they had me pick whichever fish I wanted.
