Default Why do people keep tanks with mixed breeds of Taiwan Bees?

What is the reason?
to strengthen your future shrimp?

but wouldn't this just make a whole bunch of odd looking hybrids that you'll need to continually cull out?
Do some of the lines like the blue bolt breed mostly true? if so then why do people keep BBs in a tank with other taiwan bees? wouldn't that make more work since you'll get less BBs that way?

thank you for any explanations. I am simply curious.
