Are you interested in the EBI-tank raffle for charity?

So, this thread is to gauge interest in the tank raffle to benefit the NY Aquarium. Tickets would be $10 each. Hit yes if and only if you are in the NY area and would be able to meet in Queens/Manhattan to pick it up.

Ideally we'd need 7 - 8 people interested to make this raffle happen. A TPT member has made an offer in case the raffle does not go through.

I'm interested, my only problem is I'd never have time to get into the city. I'd donate the $10 anyways for the aquarium.

May I know why we need 7-8 people? Can we donate more than 10 dollars and get more raffle tickets?

I don't intend to win the tank but I would like to donate more than 10 dollars. If I do win, I'll probably just give it away. NYC just doesn't have enough space for us x[.

That's true, I assumed everyone would just buy one ticket. I'm going to stick with 7 - 8 for now, assuming that it may not be easy to track down all five people that marked that they were interested.

There is someone interested in buying it outright (with the proceeds going to the aquarium, of course) so I'll give it until tonight to see if doing the raffle is still worthwhile.

maybe the focus should be more on the number of tickets sold and less on the number of individuals involved as it ultimately reaches the same goal.
