White thing emerging from betta's mouth? Urgent?

I was just going to turn off my betta's lights when i saw a cottony blob emerging from the side of his mouth. Im pretty sure its not fungus. He seemed really irritated by it and when it receeded into his mouth it moved in and out like with his opercular movements. Im kind of worried that he'll suffocate, please help?

Fungus or a worm probably. Post a picture.

sounds kinda like mouth fungus. Hard to say without a pic.

Water change and replace with half the recommended aquarium salt until you can id it.
