Fluval 206 or Eheim 2217 for my 12 gallon long?

Hey guys! I have question. For some reason this has been a hard decision for me. Should I get a brand new Fluval 206 for my 12 gallon long or should I bring my eheim 2217 out of retirement and just reduce the flow using the double tap valves? I have my 2215 on my 60p knockoff (mr aqua) right now so I could also move that to the 12 gallon long and use the 2217 on the 60p. Let me know what you guys think.

If it were me, I'd swap the 2215 and 2217. 15 will be a lot better suited for the 12gal.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards that idea. Anyone else?

The Fluval '06 models seriously over-estimate gph they put out. I mean, I know this is common in cannister filters where they rate them with 50% media or even empty, but these models seem especially bad about it.

They also come with seriously crappy fittings and hoses. I didn't use any of the stock fittings with a 406 I set up. I have been extremely under-whelmed with it so far, but I haven't run it long enough to comment on reliability.
