Tank is currently going through it's algae phase. However, the tank has been deemed safe for fauna; after a scouting party of 2 CRS braved the wilderness for 4 days. I've moved in a small algae crew and will be picking up more shrimp in the future for the tank.

What farm/store did you order them from? Did they come direct to your house in a pallet or something? Do you remember the name? I am having trouble finding buce for sale that is why, let alone all these types.

You ordered the single or twin light AQUASKY?

Also curious about the name of this journal?

Green_Flash, sorry about that, I didn't realize someone replied to the thread.

I ordered a few through a distributor of the farm. I believe the last list had 75 different variations of Buces and Aroids. It was brought in with a group order (the only way you can order from the distributor), which went through inspections. I've since acquired 4 new species for the holding tank and 1 more for Elysium.

I ordered 2 602's but the cali distributor for Aquascapes only had 601's and I picked up 1. I'm waiting for the 602 to come in and I'll buy that as well. So I'll take PAR and Lux readings for both when I have each in hand. The 601 now rests on Elysium. Hopefully my 20th anniversary ADA tools come in this week. Otherwise, I'll have to wait for Jojo to come back from his vacation.

I completed extensive pruning this past weekend. Hope I can get a picture up soon.

Btw, Elysium refers to the Elysian Fields. Where those judged worthy enjoy perfect happiness in the afterlife. Ultimately, I'd love to see multiple blooms, especially the yellows which most represent the golden flowers of lore. I thought it (the name) eye catching and well suited for a field of flowers.

I am highly interested in the PAR readings for the AQUASKY 601 and 602.

Do you have the PAR meter in hand to do the 601?

The Seneye REEF does PAR & LUX readings! ^.^ I'll get them for you tomorrow if I can.

Unfortunately my 20th Anniversary tools didn't come in today. So it looks like I'll have to wait for Jojo to return from vacation. Were you the one that purchased the other 601 from Aquascapes?

Aquascapes should be closed until the 26th at least (I think).

The Seneye REEF is a monitor that can send you email or text alerts, not really a controller (yet). However I can see it in the future being a controller as the company seems to really want to add new things.

Thank you! Those are very interesting; 90 PAR at the substrate is pretty high I think.
If I recall SPS corals like something in the 300 PAR range.

So using this one for plants is plenty bright.

I can only imagine what the 602 will be like, now that would pack some serious punch.

So I'm in love with buces and I just got my first three species, any updates on this tank??
