try finding a local fish club? that would be a good thing if they have auctions where you could sell your items

Put an ad on craigslist and meet the person at a parking lot instead of your home?
Seems a little less shady than approaching people outside the pet store wearing a trenchcoat, asking "wanna buy my crustaceans?".
