New Angels not eating
Hi just bought 6 new angel fish. They've been in the tank for 2 days now and they dont seem to want to eat. They swim around all day nibbling at the plants and moss but when I go to feed them they eat it and spit it out. They have eaten a little of the freeze dried warms. Is this norm? Any suggestions on encouraging them to eat. They are def hungry because every time I walk over to the tank the swim to the top.
thanks |

Placed in a new tank fish can go off based on nerves for a day or two but being new and without entry quarantine I would be concerned about internal parasites or gill flukes which can cause this spitting early on as a symptom.

try feeding some brine or mysis shrimp. New fissh are more lkely to eat somethng like that. If that doesn't work call the lfs and find out what they were feeding the angels and go get some of the ame.

dont have any brine but have a reg shrimp. Think it would be okay to take a section of that and cut it up into really small pieces and see what happens?

thanks kubalik. I thought live black worms were bad about caring disease?
Thanks Wrangler the ones I have are about the size of 50 cents pieces. I have (pia) endlers in the tank with babies and they swim right past them maybe they aren't old enough to want to hunt or they are catching them when Im not looking |
