My 40 gallon Garden

I am having no luck with the glosso. I think I don't have enough light because they are growing upwards and not really sending out shoots. Should I start thinking about getting another T5ho fixture?

Just some updated shots. Got an Iphone 4s since they dropped in price. It takes better pictures than my old cellphone.

As you can probably tell I am getting fed up with the glosso. I cannot for the life of me get it to carpet!

Like your tank.
Top off your Glosso and replant tops inbetween what you topped off . It will carpet for you . It's like mowing your grass.

Really love this tank! I like the black substrate, yet the tank is still so bright. What kind of substrate is it?

Looks good Zefrik! I think that I would add another HO T5 to it and see if that will help the glosso to spread laterally instead of vertically. This usually happens because the lighting isn't bright enough. You'll get!

Or, just get Marselia minuta which is MUCH user friendly, looks like glosso, and doesn't need bright light to grow a nice carpet.

That is what I have been thinking. But people keep saying that I will "get algae" and "push my plants to there limit". Since I don't have any fish in the tank I can just turn up the co2 and just try to keep things balanced, couldn't I?
