They are a river fish, so good turnover rate/current is appreciated for them to show any activity level. Otherwise, sponge filtration and a powerhead is great for them. They like driftwood, as they like to squeeze into tight spaces to feel secure. They get a little over 2", and can take temps from 75-86 with a wide range of hardness. They are insectivores in teh wild, but take frozen or dried foods pretty readily in the tank.

Ha,forgot to include tank size- they don't need a big tank, 20 long would be MORE than adequate, and a group could probably be kept in a 10 or 15 with adequate flow.

awesome!! thanks! it just so happens that i have a 20 long, and guess what, its got good flow and lots of wood! hmmmm, i wonder what i should put in it?!

Will there be a sale for the newly acquired shrimp in the future, been looking at getting some tiger shrimp but wanted to give you my business since I know your the best :p Also I noticed that on your sale's thread you don't have alder cones anymore?

I have alder cones, must have deleted that by accident.

The shrimp will be part of teh sale- hoping they can get me the tigers, but they are not on this weeks list.

There have been lots of quality issues wiht some of the asian farms this past year, working on quality control or so they say.

Will the cocama shoal with my other otos or do they stay to themselves? Will they crossbreed between the 2 also?

Hmm, I would think they would all hang out together, though I keep them separately here for quarantine purposes, so don't know for sure. As far as hybridization, given their relative difficulty of breeding, i think it would be highly unlikely

Thanks for the input might. Might have to order a couple when they come available. All your new stock look amazing if they look anything close to the pictures.

Most of hte pictures were from previous orders of the livestock. I am hopeful these will be at least as nice if not nicer
