Help with new lighting...

I've been thinking about changing my bulb or getting new lighting and wanted to get some suggestions. Here's my current setup...

20 gallon acrylic 24Lx16Hx12W
Stock Hood with a 14W GE Aqua Rays bulb - F14T8 AR FS

The tank is enclosed with a 15" long opening on the top for the hood. I believe this link has the proper info on the bulb...

The tank is planted with a decent amount of moss, and a few stems but nothing super sensitive. Would like to see my plants pop a bit more under the light and it would be nice to have some lighting that will support a wider variety of plants. I have tried a few different bigger background plants and all of them have died except for my Italian val which spreads like wildfire.

Compared to my other tank with an azoo clip light, the big tanks lighting looks terrible. Not sure if I need a bigger setup or just stronger bulb, but any advice would be appreciated
