Ray 2 shots

Here are some shots of my Ray2 36 inch 7k+7k over my tank. I was thrown off by the manufacturer product photo with the blue on the side, here are some closeup shots of the real product. Nice build.

Will you be running the new Ray 2 alone or will it supplement your existing marinelands? I often seen the marineland LEds on sale but questioned whether they produced enough light to sustain medium to high light plants.

Right now the Ray2 is powering the back portion of my tank, and it is doing splendidly. The plants back there are getting phenomenal growth, pearls like crazy.

BACK: I have the RAY2 in the back

MIDDLE: Marineland Reef (no timer)
and
FRONT: Marineland Doublebright

I have since turned off the doublebright and use it only for moonlight

For the price of the Marineland Reef (no timer) in 36 inch, you can buy "2" Ray2s

Below is an un-scientific test of all the lights.

I shot this on a Nikon D7000, on a F22 setting, ISO 3200, shutter 100
I kept it on F22 so it would let in the least amount of light

I moved all the lights into the Same exact spot, shooting down in the same spot. The camera was on a tripod mounted and was not moved between shots

I'm very interested in these lights. Now that you've had them for a few weeks how do you like them?

Awesome write up and shots to help prove a point. Will look into for a next tank setup down the road. Got my vote for production LED fixture for sure.

Yes, I am happy with the lights. I have a lot of "red" plants right under the light right now, and they are quite happy.

I'm happy to see your tank hasn't had to much trouble due to the storm.

As a side note, you can't ask for a much better endorsement for a light than what your plants are showing. Beautiful plants. Thank you for the reply.
