Cabomba turning reddish

Recently I went to PetSmart (even though I hate that store) because I was looking for cabomba and Sailfin doesn't have any. Well its in my tank now for a week and a half and its growing pretty fast. When I got it, it was dark green. Now that its growing, the tips are reddish-purply-pink. Thats the best description I can think of for the color. I have pretty high light (130 watts of 6700K PC) over my 37 gallon. Does cabomba caroliniana (I think its caroliniana) normally do this? My rotala rotundifolia is doing the exact same thing. Where there's new growth, theres reddish-purply-pink leaves.

I'd like to know also, because my Cabomba does the same exact same thing. And your description of the color is perfect.

Our Cabomba likely comes from the same grower, since I also got mine at Petsmart.

Bump. I'd really like to know if this is due to too much/little light/nutrients.

Well i've never kept this species, but my limn. sessiflora and sunset hygro do this same thing under my PCF lighting, but not my NO lighting. This makes me think that it happens under stronger lighting conditions and definitely not a bad thing.
