Thanx for sharing!! Looks good but why no 10k with 7k on the 48'''s??. I thought that is what most were looking for. Also no dimmer??

I would be all over this but I dont think I want to have just a narrow band. I like some 10k as I believe many do.

Hi Odie. While the 10ks averaged a bit higher PAR, our consumers were requesting a fixture with a less blue tint. The 7ks gave better aesthetics to their tanks while not sacrificing the fixtures high light output.

As for a dimmer, we currently have the capability for one and actually have a tester model in it's trial period. The only concern is it's price point and economically producing these units without sacrificing any quality is something we're trying to work out.

With substrate most of the aquarium should be getting medium light. Please note the PAR collected is out of water so that is something to account for. You'd probably be looking at low-medium lighting since your tank is so deep and it's a 5 foot tank.

Just the lights, no co2, Just lights, filter, and heaters.

I'd feel safe putting medium light plants throughout the aquarium.

I got a question Lowe, PAR seems perfect but what about the spectrum? I've noticed that on my lights that I used a single color on, the plants don't grow super well because there is a lack when it comes to the full light spectrum. I've moved to using multiple colors on my fixtures. Do these offer that?

I think what is lacking in most fixtures is the warmer spectrums, like 4500k and below

I'm considering all options for a led fixture. If I were to purchase 4 36" ray 2 ds for a 72Lx30Wx25H what would the approximate par readings be? I plan on suspending the lights. Thanks!

I also have a 120 ( 60x18x24), and I am intrigued by the Finnex LEDs. Wouldnt 2-48" fixtures be way too much light without co2? how would the PAR be affected if the fixtures were say, 30-36" from the substrate? It seems to me that the single 48 is not enough light.

Will you guys produce any type of hanging kit or longer legs to lift up the fixture?
I would love the 36" fixture on my 12 gallon long but the par seems still super high with this shallow tank.

Hi,

I am thinking about 4 x 24" Finnex II stripes for a 55" x 24" x 20" (20" tall) tank. I want enough light for having HC and Pogostemon helferii, do you think this would be enough light? I will of course use CO2.
