Oh I have a little packet of potassium permanganate to share. it's great for medicating fish and killing off snails when quarantining plants. you can also make a solution from it, wait till it turns brown and use it for extra potassium (and manganese?! I'm guessing cos it's in the formula, but I aint no chemist)

I started dry verging via the EI dosing method and I have seen some wonders with the stuff. It's true what blueK24a4 said...you have to use it for awhile...(few weeks) before seeing a difference.

Right now, my fissidens are growing at a rate that I have never experienced.

Albert came over today and I just ripping them off the driftwood because I know it will just grow right back.

Aokashi, I can give you some ferts to last you a few weeks. Especially with a smaller tank, you dont need a lot each time.

I believe I only have 100g to share XD, you wont end up with much... I usually stuff all my plants in a bottle I want to treat. because the stuff destroys parasites too A tiny pinch usually does the trick. whatever turn the water a nice purple. Plants also take well tothe treatment.

There's not much about the specific dosage to this thing online. but I havent read about it killing any fish yet...

At this point the Panda and emerald are the tops on my list but I'm open to any type as long as they don't get to be more then 3" or so I also plan to have some Bosemani rainbows and some Iranian red Rainbows as well.

These cories range from $3-6 at the lfs. Both are semi rare with pandas showing up more frequently. If you come across them I suggest getting the batch together as they would likely be of relative size and age.

Been driving an suv these past days which has been more comfortable all around but looking forward to getting my own car back. Had an annoying problem where it would occasionally stall when slowing to idle (800) while in motion. Timing was off and my plugs were needing replacement but alas all is fixed now and I'll be back in the driver seat later today. Not bad for a 22 yr old car.

Pps pro might be the way to go for approaching ferts in nano tanks as it wouldn't require weekly water changes while providing gradual improvement in plant growth. Ei is best when supplemented with co2 and high light, which most of our nano setups are not.

I like slow and steady personally, and ppspro suits that. Ei is more like ferts on steroids.

For nano tanks, I don't think samples would be too bad. My biggest issue would be finding enough small containers to pack them in.

I had thought about this which had bropught me to the container store. Was thinking of making mixes and packing. Just pay for the containers with ferts being raok. Would this be ok with everyone?
