How can you get the $$$? Easy!

Step1

Record a video of yourself explaining “Why LEDGroupBuy.com should give me $100”. You could be a starving college student with very little money or a millionaire just having some fun, just explain why we should give you the money.

Step 2

Upload your video to www.youtube.com and name it "Why LEDGroupBuy should give me $100" then post the link to http://www.facebook.com/LEDGroupBuy so we know its there

After that, get as many people as you can to “like” your video on youtube (Facebook likes do not count)



Its that simple!

Get your friends, reef clubs, family, cousins, step cousins, step cousins of step cousins, the girl next door, your teacher, your professor, your classmates, your mailman, your mistress, your spouse’s mistress, your cat anyone you can to “like” your video before Feb 29th 2012 11:59pm PST.

Whichever video has the most “likes” will win $100 in store credit at www.LEDGroupBuy.com

The winner will be announced March 1st 2012. In case of a tie, the video that was posted first will win.



Only videos posted on the Facebook fan page will be entered into the contest. Videos must answer the question “Why LEDGroupBuy.com should give me $100”

Cool idea. Only thing I don't like about "like" competitions is it comes down to how many online people you know. Someone with 2000 friends on facebook who posts their video everyday to their page and tells all their friends to like it is going to get more votes than someone like say me, who has 40 friends on facebook. I just don't have anywhere near the online friends list to get that many likes, no matter if the other video is crap and the person doesn't even need the lights and mine had awesome production value and I showed I really needed the credit.

I just had friend who's a producer do this for a band they recorded and had them vote in a contest and I got spammed from them everyday to vote, so it comes down to who can spam the most people, not who's album was better.

My 2 cents anyways.

Yes, and if 2000 people somehow get wind of the competition/company because you spammed like crazy, then you earned your prize by providing free advertising.
It's the nature of the game.

A random drawing would be more fair but have little benefit to the company.

If you guys have some more ideas, let us know! The first one we did was just like this one. The second one was a random draw and the random draw one had less people participate! I think it was 1 in 9 chance to win $100 last time.

So if you have any nifty ideas, let us know, we may implement it!

The main idea behind this one is to get a bit of friendly "competition" going among your friends.
We could make it to where its who has the best video but I dont want to be a judge.

If you threw in somebody to actually come to my home and build an LED fixture for me, I'd enter in a heartbeat.

It's the controller, heat sinks, wiring, etc that's most overwhelming to me. And I'm what most would consider a serious technical nerd.

Confession: I'd also probably buy bunches of LEDs if someone was included to build a fixture for me. HA.

I bet you can hire someone to build it but seriously, its so simple once you have it in front of you. Most people are intimidated but after its said and done, they are surprised how easy it is. For a planted tank its even simpler (than a reef). All you need is cool whites and a driver.
