new bearded dragon
hi all just a post to welcome my new bearded dragon to the clan once he has outgrown his 2ft viv he will be going into an arid planted 4ft vivarium
any one else ever done any arid planted vivariums for desert species

I've had dry planted vivariums for scorpions, but those are significantly smaller than 4 feet!

what a handsome devil!! never done an arid, desert tank. i seriously want to though. maybe after i outgrow my high humidity stage, i'll get there...lol i always envisioned a terrarium with all succulents. i know there's a dragon forum out there, i would check there. good luck and post pics

ye i have some carex buchananii which is a type of brown grass that im going to try along with succulents i may also try air plants attached to the background or logs etc

Just watch where you place the air plants so the succulents dont accidently get over-watered. Some of them are very susceptible to stem rot. I had one die from an overturned water dish! :s
