Eh, I know nothing about saltwater beyond "don't you dare think you can handle this complicated stuff" and "aren't a lot of those endangered?!" so don't feel bad.

I think I might go with a Fugeray myself. After saving up for a while >.<

I'm also saving for the fugeray... I read odyssea makes some really cost effective lights for t5ho but I'm leaning for something that's power efficient too.

I am also in the same market, does the 24" fugeray II have legs that will stretch out to be 30", or does it need to hang? If it needs to hang is it hard to attach cable to it?

2 things to clarify

Models:
Fugeray - medium light with blue "moon lights"
Ray II - High light, all white LED (get the daylight 7Ks for planted freshwater)

There is no FugerayII

Length - Both models fit the length they are listed at or shorter, they don't stretch longer. There is a 30" model too.

I just contacted Finnex, they don't have 30" for Ray II highlight 24" version won't work unless you have a lid...I have no idea why they don't make them in 30".... fugeray is the only choice for a 30" tank....
