Bearded dragons!

Here are some glamor shots of my bearded dragon, Captn' Red Beard just hanging out on the land portion of my 20 gallon paludarium. I like to bring him there now and again to chill out and to get a drink.

Very Beautiful Bearded!! So Weird seeing one in a tropical habitat, confused me at first. But looks really cool!

Beautiful tank! How does he do with the plants?

thanks! Yeah his tank is a more traditional desert style with rocks and sticks. I just put him on my paludarium every now and again to drink and hang out. It is a good spot for pics too because of the bright LED's.

Oh so he's a drinker! Is that a local moss?

That makes a lot more sense! Seems to be a nice colored BD, maybe a citrus?

Yeah those are local mosses and plants that I have been collecting. He seems to enjoy hanging out on the little log. He will go and inspect the plants and mosses but he won't eat them. He will drink the drops on the moss and he likes to look at the water dripping back into the water portion of this tank.

I have put some desert plants in his terrarium before and he has mowed right through them but he doesn't seem to be interested in these.

He is getting big now and I am thinking of moving him up to a much larger tank, like a 55 or a 75. I was thinking of doing a valley with plants on the rock/cliffs on either side.

Yeah he is coloring up with each molt. Definitely some sort of orange color morph, I got him off craigslist a couple months ago so I don't know much about the genes.

75's are cheap when cracked or broken. I would even say find a 125 that is cracked or leaking and buy it so he can have a mansion!

But he is a very nice looking Beardie!

Be careful with those plants. He may not nibble at them now, but there's no promise that he wont one day.

Also be careful with the high humidity. It can cause upper respiratory infections in bearded dragons, and the constant wetness on the scales can cause issues as well.

Other wise it looks amazing.
