another algae thread

I have a 55 gallon its been running for about 2 months. I have an xp3, 2 powerheads, pressurized CO2 running at about 5-6 bps and my dc is yellow green. I dose with ei dosing using dry ferts. I'm also running t5ho 108 watts for 7 hours, it also has eco complete with a sand cap and I've been using root tabs for my heavy feeders. Anyway I have this algae I can't get rid of, I think it's either stag or hair. I cranked up my CO2 and I've been trying to make sure I didn't skip any doses. Right now I have no fish just threaded nerite snails . Here's some pics.

Can anyone give me any ideas on how to rectify the algae? I've been removing it manually as much as I can and it's killed some of my plants. I cut my lighting down from 9 to 7 hours. My co2 was at 3-4 bps but I upped that to the 5-6 bps hoping that would help. I need to get this under control before I put my fish in so I can dial back my co2. I have fish coming on Wednesday and don't really want to have to "fish" them out of the 20 gallon to put them in the 55 later.

That dry dosing seems to be the cause. You may have been dosing more.
It's just my opinion.

Crank up that CO2.

If you have a UV, you can put the plants in a bucket and run uv for about 30 seconds, change the angle and repeat. Don't exceed 2 minutes for a plant, and don't stay in the room with it running. There will be a little dieback of the plant from sunburn. Peroxide to kill it from the plants and install a UV inline in the filtration system is another option. The strands that live will remain, but it will have a hard time spreading. If it's Blackbeard cranking the CO2 could work, if its hair algae, I don't think it will work. A Siamese algae eater would love a shot at that. But be forewarned they grow quick and done can get a bit aggressive.

I was thinking of adding a molly or 2 would that help? I've been doing 50% water changes everyother day disturbing the algae and sucking up as much as I can. I've been making sure there's no debris in the tank as well. I've added 6 otos and 4 panda cories and will continue to add fish over the 2 weeks so I don't overload the bacteria.

I had a Molly a while back. He cleaned up my 9gal tank seemingly overnight.

I've been messing around with H2O2 recently. Since you have no fish that might be a good option for you.
