WTB: Amano shrimp in Lexington

Can not find any in LFS here in Lexington.
Looking for about 3-4.
Any hints will be appreciated.

Your best bet is to visit Petco/Petsmart.

If you're ever in the Louisville area, they're often available at Feeders Supply locations.

If you still looking, Incredipet at Southland drive sometimes carry them. But, they are not labeled as Amano Shrimp. They are called algae eating shrimp. You can probably special order them too from them. Last year, I saw about 6 of them and bought snatched them all up.

I called them up several times and they told me that they will order some for me but still no news from them yet.

The key is to go to the store and speak to the fish section manager. He/She is the one who orders the stuff. But if they don't have it, you may also want to try animal house at richmond road. They are mom and pop shop but seem to be able to special order stuff too(In my conversation with the shop owner and his wife).

The reviews are pretty much nonsense. They're a strange couple, I won't argue that. But their fish selection is great, and the quality seems to be fine. They do have Amanos in stock all the time, as well.
