I have groups of oto's in both my shrimp tanks and never saw an issue between them.
What are the parameters of these tanks and how did you acclimate these shrimp? |

But I think something has to be off in his parameters also. |

Kno3 should be eliminated or dialed back if you are doing ei ferts as the nitrates can quickly exceed 20ppm within days. Also inverts have had adverse effects from plantex CSM-b from what I read so this also may need to be dialed back or eliminated as part of your regiment.

ph - 6.6
ammonia - 0 nitrate - 40 nitrite - 0 phosphate - more than 10 gh - 3 kh - 3 Acclimating, who has time for that? (that was a joke, but yes...i don't do it) pm'ed Rachel, she said the shrimps can't handle the nitrate, way too high. So, although my plants are thriving, I think I found the culprit. Going forward, for the mini tank for my son, no more dry ferts..will stick with just root tabs |

If u are mixing your own dry ferts, just remove the ingredients listed earlier.
