Help me ID these plants?

Don't worry, I'm doing my own legwork here too, but I thought it would be good to have another pair or two of eyeballs on them.

I ordered a "starter package" of plants online because I really wasn't sure what I wanted. Unfortunately, it didn't come with an inventory list or identification, so I still don't know what I want

I've started removing the ones I'm sure about... what remains might need updated pictures.

I'm no expert yet (I set up my first planted tank only a few months ago) BUT I definitely think I have some of the plants you've got up there, so I'll take a shot at the ones I'm familiar with.

1. Marsilea quadrifolia
2. Cryptocoryne wendtii (red?)
3. Dwarf Sag.
4. Don't know about this one- kind of looks like Sag. too to me, but not sure.
5. Some type of sword (?)
6. Banana plant
7. Anubias Congensis or Afzelli
8. Some sort of Vallisneria?
9. Chain sword
10. Onion
11&12. No idea!
13. Probably another variety of Crypte, might become more distinguishable later
14. Kind of looks like the "java fern" I bought at PetSmart a while back, but who knows if that's really what it is.

Well, those are all my best guesses lol. Where did you order them from? You might be able to call and ask what they sent you, although it might just be an assortment of the things they were ready to get rid of. I won't pretend to know exactly what I'm talking about either, and I could be wrong about some of those. Good luck!

Thanks for the help! I ordered them from Bob's Tropical Plants, and I'm pretty sure that you're right about it just being an assortment of things they tossed in a bag

The description from the site is: "An assortment of plants such as dwarf hair grass crypts java ferns anubias dwarf onion pennywort sags Crispus and so on. Each package is different and is based on what i have in stock at the time. "

I updated the list with your guesses, bolded the ones I'm pretty sure about.

On #14, I think it's actually Anubias Congensis (looked at after you mentioned it for the guess on #7). It has a fairly thick rhizome.

I'm curious about those huge "seeds" (or whatever those are) in 11/12. They've started to sprout a little bit, so I guess we'll find out eventually =)

Hoping my root tabs and fertilizers show up in the next few days so that I can help all these guys survive.

I agreed with Kat, although I had grow so much different type of vegetation but some of them are very beginner for me. Anyway, all these vegetation are nice to see but Anubias Congensis is one I liked the most.

So, the "bulbs" from #11 both appear to be corkscrew val:


The darker bulb from #12 sprouted some really pretty red leaves - what is it?


Also, I had this dead-looking group of roots that have just been getting tossed around in the tank for awhile, and now they're looking alive and have sprouted a couple of leaves - any ideas?

well, the group of roots and the red thing both look like Red Tiger Lotus to me, but no way is that first picture corcksrew val. Val does not grow from a bulb that looks like that, so it has to be something else that looks like a grassy plant. I'm thinking that it might be octopus plant or something?

The bulbs are not corckscrew val. Vallisneria spp. do not come from bulbs. They are probably aponogeton sp. Also, common names aren't good for ID. Species or at the very least genus names are best.......

I think those are Lily bulbs and not Red tiger lotus.

Here's an updated picture of #1 after I uprooted, trimmed out all the dead stuff, and replanted in my 10G, everyone still agrees it's Marsilea Quadrifolia?
