lighting and algae
I have a fluval edge 6 gallon. I changed the stock lighting and mounted two 6700k cfl bulbs on it instead. I am having crazy algae growth. I was going to try for some high light plants, but have decided to take it easy and just grow java ferns and moss. Can I switch the lights to a lower spectrum bulb and still grow the ferns and mosses? While avoiding the algae? The only thing in the tank is one amano shrimp and one oto, so I don't think excess waste is an issue.

Why spam the same message in 3 different threads?

I wasn't sure which one was the best for this question. I will delete the others if this is a problem for you.
