What is the "ideal" amount to feed, in a shrimp only tank? Enough to be eaten in 1 hour? 4 hours? etc?

It's the same with any food. You feed what your shrimp can eat before the food has a chance to foul the water. For most foods, that's a couple hours. For Repashy, most leave the food in for 24 hours or more with no issue at all, as it's tank stable.

If I'm gonna be stocking mostly shrimp with a small group of otos...would Shrimp Souffle or Soilent Green be better for me?
I may just have to order a bit of both... |

For otos, definitely soilent green or super green. Soilent is more appropriate for the shrimp as well, over the super.

If I were you - and if you can swing it - I'd recommend picking up a few things. Shrimp Souffle, Soilent Green and Super Green. Variety will be good for shrimp and any other critters you've got.
I make my own foods but also really enjoy and stand completely behind the Repashy line based on personal experience.

Just be cautious of using hte shrimp souffle with yellow shrimp, the carotenoids int eh foods can make then get a bit green, lol.
Doesn't seem to effect other species. |

Some of my blue velvets went a bit green. I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

Has anyone tried feeding this food to a betta? I'm ordering a variety and am wondering how much I should put in for him at a time. I feed him 10 Hirakau betta pellets twice a day, which I'm sure is more than he needs, but he's always looking at me as if he's hungry whenever I stand in front of the tank.

Well I've finally gotten around to trying out the Meat Pie for my betta Liberace and it's a definite hit with him.
Also as a suggestion you can buy a mini ice tray and pour the liquid mixture into it, freeze, and once frozen twist the food cubes out and store them in a freezer bag. The cubes are 0.5"x0.5" and I make 90 of them with the standard 1/4 c dry mix. |

Well, i just got around to trying this food. It does smell a little while mixing it, but not as bad a liver and onions.
I didn't like the spawn and grow as much as the meat pie, and it does leave a bad aftertaste. The little bits come right out with a tooth pic so that was no big deal. I think Allan is right, the "mouth feel" is much better than flake or pellet. Every fish i have is eating it with gusto, So i will just let them eat it. They seem to enjoy it more than me, and my chips keep breaking when i try to dip. Maybe i should use more water? Maybe next time.
