Best shops for plants in Bostom
I will be visiting Boston for a few days later this week. Are there any shops in the city that have a good selection of plants?

Sadly, nope. Boston is really lacking when it comes to LFSs.

Depending on the date if you came during a Boston Aquarium Society meeting day, you can get some okay stuff at the auction

Lovely pets in Quincy has some decent plants. The store can be kind of tricky to find your first time.

Tropic Isle in Framingham has a decent selection of plants.. but the staff is rude and it is expensive.

Unique Aquaria in Woburn might have a good selection. They are in the process of setting up the store, so I would call first to verify availability.

I had a bad experience there, too. All the plants are in tanks on the floor, so you can barely see anything. Everything is disorganized and nothing seems to have a price tag. I'd much rather go to Uncle Ned's.

You can find good plants at uncle neds but they dont take care of them too well so they are just scattered around the storin tanks. Ive bought them and they have recovered in mytank.
Tropical isle can have a good selection. But it is a pain having them on the foor and they ae expensive and rude. Lovely pets has a basic selection of plants nothing specisl. I think uniqe aquaria was the old siptons in boston and they moved. From what know they are mainly salt water and reptiles. I think thy are prob gonna habe a small fresh water sectionbut I would call them anway to check. |
