Advice on lighting for 55 gallon planted tank?

I just set up a 55 gallon tank and found out that the fluorescent lighting doesn't work, so I'm looking for a new light set-up and am realizing that there are A LOT of options. I have a lot of plants in the tank with driftwood and some rocks. There are 8 tiger barbs, 1 blue gourami, a pictus catfish and 5 bronze cory catfish living in the tank.

So, what does everyone recommend for lighting for this type of tank? I am looking at LEDs and I like the idea of not replacing bulbs frequently like you have to with fluorescent lighting.
