Alright fellow tankers, need help!
Got the new back built and currently running for a few days to confirm no leaks! now its time to start planning the scape....
![]() This will be low light, I want the substrate to slope down from the back left corner.... It will house one beta, and either crystal or oebt shrimp. (the beta is shrimp safe, he has been tested lol) First thing is black or white sand? or maybe both?? "People who don't like bacon can't be trusted. - NWA-Planted"

I'm not sure how well sand will hold a slope, but black sand looks better than white sand unless the white sand is used as a decorative contrast to a darker substrate. Maybe aquasoil with some sand in the front?

Maybe I should try something other than sand

i have eco complete in my tank and it can hold a slope pretty decently. also i used some egg crate from home depot and cut it into a mound and put the eco-complete on that.
nice shaped tank! |
