We have turtles and if you want plants then make sure they are edible because turtles LOVE greens. My friend has turtles too and they have goldfish as a treat. So i would not suggest fish or plants with turtles unless you want them eaten. Silk plants might work because its harder for the turtles to tear of a chunk of fabric, or even plastic.

I have some goldfish in with my turtles and some convict cichlids, they were originally thrown in as feeders but have been living with the turtles for over a year. The turtles constantly chase the fish but the fish are to quick especially the convicts.
