BigAl has these on sale, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to replace one of my noisier powerheads. My question is how quiet are these pumps? Are they the type of equipment that you need to check just make sure its running because it's so quiet ? <---- that's what i'm looking for . Thanks for the help.

I have a maxijet 400 and it is very quiet.....dont notice a sound out of it just nice circulation.

I also have a maxijet 400 and it has worked great. Nearly silent underwater.
