Got dead plants

A week ago I have ordered plants from AquariumPlants.com, Hydrotriche hottoniiflora and Ambulia (Limnophila indica). Both species came tightly packed in plastic bag and the bag was in a cardboard almost flat box. The plants were in tight bunches with led sinkers each. I got the package right from hands of UPS delivery man, but, unfortunately, they were dead, slimy greenish mass. I tossed them in my well lit tank, hoping some parts of them may recover... It seems next day one top of the plant is greener, then the rest of them....

Sorry to hear about the plants. I've had great success buying plants from others here on the forums. Check out the for sale forum, and you'll find a large number of people selling all kinds of plants. You can check their feedback if you want to be sure the seller has experience shipping in this hot weather.

Another good place is local aquarium societies, I've gotten great deals from locals!

Agreed. I got some really amazing deals off of this site several years ago. Enough to stock a 55 gallon and a 20 I had at that time.

Everytime I order online, I get an expensive bag of disappointment. I'm trying it again with a company very close by to me, but if that doesn't work out, I'm buying straight out of the tank or off here. It's a robbery some of the prices you pay for a sprig of plant that looks like it won't even live long enough to get in the tank. Sorry to hear your bad news.

I got Bolbitis that cost an ungodly sum of money and shipping. These things arrived and they didn't sell me plants, they sold me leaves! Fortunately, after several weeks, there's vigorous growth on a couple of them. I think the other isn't getting enough light, so I'll try moving it a little. I just hate it when you spend money on disappointment.
