nope it sat inside of a wooden canopy for about a year with no problems. no fans just a couple cut outs in the back.

I'll bring my DIY PAR meter I bought from Hoppy now that I think of it. Nothing else I can think of at the moment since I am all shrimp and not much about the plants.

I'll just wire it back to normal and give you the other ballast with it then you can read up on the odno if you wanna hook it back up. That way you don't have to feel nervous about it. You wouldn't happen to have a light that'll fit a 20 gallon long would ya?

I'm curious do you know if it accurate or not? i've always wondered how much par i have in my 75 gallon.

Also if anyone has an Eheim 2213 that they're willing to trade or sell i'm looking for one.

I believe I do. I'll bring everything I have available to the meetup except for the stands unless someone wants them.

I've got 2 coralife for a 20 long. One is a single bulb setup, the other a double.
Will bring both.

Join! Us swapping plants/equipment is not our main focus.

In the near future my wife wants to get a wholesale license so we can get into the wholesale nurseries and actually buy. We have become collectors of plants, usually interesting stuff and orchids since we moved here. Very evident by looking around our house. That doesn't include aquatic stuff we find. I am the mechanically minded one and will figure out how to do or make stuff. She has a floral and carpentry background. So she will be designing a couple of stands for 2 of our tanks that don't have one. She says Im the green thumb because I am usually tryng to propagate plants usually by cuttings or seeds.

IN reference to the PAR meter, check out Hoppy's thread, it is pretty accurate or as the saying goes 'close enough for government work' without having to spend $400 on the professional, scientific model. It's within an acceptable range.

Anybody have lighting that will fit 24 inches? I am wanting to go with out a hood on my 60 gallon and the lights that are with it will not fit the 24 inch with. I would be interested in 2 lights that would give out enough light for plants that require medium light.

I have two 22.5" single T8 fixtures that have 18" bulbs.
One 28" T8 with a 24" bulb
One 48" Coralife 6700K HO T5 Bulb
Two standard 10 gallon tank stands
Tons of HOB filters of various sizes and makes, I counted at least 6--could be more.
And then the standard stuff I have that I'll bring

I need any 10 gallon tanks and 48" light fixtures, air pumps and sponge filters.
