Borneowild Vigor has to be refrigerated, a PSA

So there is another discussion going on on here about Borneowild Vigor having some mold issues. I contacted the company and received this response

Vigor must be stored in refrigerator after purchase, as well as after being opened and use. We store them in fridge before exports them strictly by air. This process takes around a week and is ok. Retailers are adviced to store them in fridge upon receiving.

When I contacted my go-to guy I get my products from he said that nowhere on the
bottle does it say to refrigerate. This info was also not found on Borneowild's
website. So this is just a PSA for folks with the product and folks that sell the
product.

Thanks Jaime!

Don't mean to divert, but...

"Jaime (yes, I'm a girl)" I get that a lot too I believe we should either have the gender sign under our SN or be allowed to add Mr or Ms in front of our SN so that people know. Sometimes a small part of a SN can really mean a lot like Raven and Neo somehow are perceived as masculinity

Hahahaha. I've got a photo in my profile page but reckon I need to put one as my avatar instead.

Oh, as for the topic I emailed Borneowild back to ask if any other products need to be refrigerated. If the info is not on the label, well, that's just a mess:/ I'll report back when I hear back from them.

Here is the response.

I checked and our bad that we do not have that line on the sticker.

I do keep dealers reminded that the product needs to be refridgerated or they
turn mouldy.

At the moment, only this product needs to be refridgerate.

Sounds quite the shoulder shrug to me. Those of you who have experienced problems should email. I run a business and this 'not on the label' thing is just unacceptable from a business AND a customer standpoint. Glad I haven't spent money on it yet and probably won't until that gets on the label. That's a LOT of hands the product has to go to before it gets to the consumer and you just have to pray word got passed along and it got refrigerated. Yeah, me no likey the odds of that.

I'm going to scream at them for the stupid instructions (which I'm sure don't make sense in their language either), this sticker thing and then look for an alternative to their products.

The other stuff from BW is great and I actually was about to order other products. If anyone knows a company that does similar products to BW, PM me.

I wonder how many of the retailers store them in the fridge? I was thinking about ordering some but held off until this cleared.

Oh and FYI, the guy that is emailing me is a distributor for Borneowild products (also Benibachi, GushAqua and quite a few others). I wrote directly to Borneowild through their website (info@borneowild....) but this is the guy responding to my inquiry. If anyone wants his DIRECT email, just message me Here is my response I just sent.

Well, the person I buy your products from had never heard these needed to be refrigerated. He is still waiting to hear back from the distributor he deals with. This information isn't on your website either. I think it's impractical to think you reminding dealers to refrigerate it is going to do any good. These products exchange several hands sometimes before they get in the hands of the consumer and now I have to hope that the person I get it from refrigerated it and the person they got it from refrigerated it and so on. This absolutely needs to be information on the label about storage temperatures. That should be a common requirement for any sort of feed stuff, be it for humans, shrimps, or other animals. I will not be buying this product in the future sadly because of this.
