Hi jreich,

'Tourist-wise' or 'fish store wise'?

If I only had a few hours I would visit the typically tourist spots that you see on TV and in the movies: the Space Needle, Monorail, Pike Place Market (where they throw the salmon and the first Starbucks is located, and the waterfront where the Seattle Aquarium is located will fill up at least 1/2 day and are all located close enough together you could walk between them (or take a cab from the Space Needle/Monorail to the market for cheap).

Hi jreich,

It depends on what you are looking for, but if it is plants the The Fish Store on Roosevelt about 7 minutes north of downtown is the place to visit. They also have a great selection of fish. We have a bunch of awesome plantheads in GSAS and The Fish Store buys from our members so they have some the unique species that don't come from Florida Aquatic Nursery. Typically Pogostemon erectus, Tiger Lotus, and the unusual Rotala and Ludwigia species. Ask for Mike if he is there, he is the plant buyer and will know what is lurking in the bottom row!
