I've had good luck with coralife digital timers but the same can be had in GE brand at home depot for 1/3 the cost.

There is another one at walmart under the brink brand which is like around 6 bucks. I have one of those. Plus the one at HD which works pretty good for $5.

Yep their cheapest one is like $3.60. I went with the big one cuse I needed the multiplug option , but if you just need it for the one light the cheap single outlet unit should be enough.

Are those the ones that has a power strip built into it? If so then on the back it says not for aquarium use LOL.

I use timers from target. They were 5 dollars, 3 prong, analog. Easy to set and it has a built in over ride if I just want to turn the lights on. They dont take up to much space like other units.

Maybe the weren't intended for aquariums but I can't think of any reasons not to lol

The $3.60 are regular one and the $5 has the ground.

I've never had a digital one so no comment on that but the analog works well.

I stockpile my timers (since I use them on everything I can in the house /lazy ) clearanced after Christmas. They are meant for indoor/outdoor use for Christmas lights and have a range of outlets on them, from 1-6. Never paid more than $1 for any of them.

Just a heads up for next Christmas season.
