hydrogen peroxide
It isnt working for me for gettng rid off BBA. I might've used too little the first day, 3ml. But i've increased to 15ml today which is the 4th day. It doesnt seem to do a thing. My tank is 30 gal. and im using a syringe to spot inject.

Turn off any water moving device. Bba is best removed manually. If it turns red and is
Ft on an object it will come back if conditions are not corrected

Yesterday I dose 5 ml peroxide into a 20g planted with fish, shrimp, and snail and 24 hours later hair and staghorn algae on hardscape and plants is wilting and turning yellow. Everything else looks great, even the water looks clearer. I was so encouraged that I added another 5ml today. This was not a spot treatment, I just added it into the water column.

Here's a good thread on the topic:
http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=146403 Two key point I took away from it turn off your filtration for a while during the dosing/spot treatment and be careful on dose to water vol. amts. . the second part is especially important if you keep loaches.

you probably can dose more than that. about 2-3 ml per gallon is good, IME it works w/ few ill side effects unless you have certain sp. +1 on all the other info too, good stuff.

probably could increase the dosage but dont see a reason to. algea is rapidly dying at 5ml for 20g. gave it a second, same amount dosage yesterday (24hrs after the 1st) and this morning algae is yellowed.
