DIY RO stand?

Is there any reason that I have failed to think of that I can't mount an RO system to a vertical piece of plywood on some sort of stand?

Permanent mounting isn't an option for me.

I just put a couple screws in studs in the unfinished basement. If that is not possible just make something out of cheap 2x4s.
