How long until breeding?
My two biggest OEBTs are about 1/2" in size. The others are a tiny bit smaller, maybe 1/3". How long until they can breed? Thanks.

Size doesn't matter as much as age. There are 200lb 6foot tall 11 year old kids out there that can't breed. lol.
Also, your water being what they like, them feeling comfortable in your tank, and time.

It's possible that they'll start any time. It's also possible that it will never happen. It depends on tank conditions, whether they are a mixed sex population, and the like.

I bought some OEBTs in mid April, they were about that size or maybe even smaller when I got them. They started to get berried about 2 weeks ago, and more are saddled. So I'd say 2.5 months aterward from experience. I don't think my tank parameters are perfect for them as it was adjusted toward CRS in that same tank, but they seem be always be more active than CRS so they were probably happy there.

OEBT's for some reason take a while to adjust to conditions. Mine took 3 months to get berried. They were about 3/4" by that time.

My OEBT got berried 5 weeks after they got shipped to me. They were pretty small and held only 10 or so eggs. I had put in fresh IAL to help with acclimation so only after my first water change I could really see well enough to notice the eggs. Now I'm praying for babies!
Fingers crossed for your ladies |

Keep in mind that caridinas grow more slowly than neos. It will take them longer to get to a good size to successfully carry eggs.
