So i saw a dead decomposing leaf, and out of that leaf a whole string of plantlets was growing out of it. It looks like how invitro stuff grows out, anyone know what this is called exactly?

Wisteria sorta did that for me transitiining from emersed to submerged leaf forms. Broken leaves would start growing roots. Nuisance floaters everywhere..

Hygrophila and microsorum readily do this. I've seen Lugwigia do it also. Cryptocoryne elliptica. I'm sure there are others as well.
