Need some more info on what you mean by divided. To stop fish and what size or to stop water flow? For dividers for fish I use light diffuser panels (eggcrate?) cut to fit. For small fish like fry, I wrap the eggcrate in wedding veil type net from the fabric section. These I just wedge in as they are temporary. For longer and watertight, it will require more work. Styrene sheet with silicone to hold it.

You could get acrylic sheet from Lowe's and cut it to fit.

For fish , I like the eggcrate with a cover. It lets all the water through so the tank stays stable with just the normal filter. I found I also use it a lot for catching fish. I have African cichlids who love rocks and are mouthbrooders. This means I have a lot of rock to move to catch them. I set the tanks up with an open space near the middle and when ready to catch fish, I wedge the divider in the middle and remove the rock from the side where the holding female is hiding. With draining down some water, it makes catching much easier than if I unload the whole tank. I have my wife sew up an envelope of the net over the diffuser panel. For fish like angelfish, I just place the screen and leave it until the eggs hatch and the fry are ready to be siphoned off. It keeps the catfish off them.

I found the commercial tank dividers were so sloppy and limp that I could not depend on them to keep small fry from siding past the sides or someway winding up on the wrong side so I had to do something DIY. I have my wife leave a good amount of extra when she sews the sides and that gives me material to fold and tuck in at the sides. Since the wedding veil (tulle?) is so cheap and comes in so many different sizes and patterns of holes, it leaves it open to you to decide what size you want to screen out. Something like a $1+ a yard but a long is often 36 X 60 wide!
